Abstract

In March 2025, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate was recorded at 0.15 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) at 105.77.
The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rising indices of most expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco by 0.83 percent; clothing and footwear by 1.20 percent; health by 1.16 percent; transportation by 1.80 percent; food and beverage serving services/restaurants by 4.81 percent; and personal care and other services by 4.46 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in their indices were: housing, water, electricity, and household fuels by 6.17 percent; household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance by 0.97 percent; information, communication, and financial services by 0.12 percent; recreation, sports, and culture by 1.07 percent; and education by 7.10 percent.
