Kundur Utara District is one of the sub-districts of the twelve sub-districts formed in Karimun District. Kundur North District was formerly part of the Kundur District Administrative Region comprising the Village of Tanjung Batu Barat, TanjungBatu Kota, Alai, Sei Sebesi, Sei Ungar, Sei Ungar Utara , Lebuh, Penarah, Sebele, Urung, Sawang, Sawang laut, Kundur, and Teluk Radang.Pada 2012, based on Local Regulation no. 02 in 2012, in July 2012, Karimun Kabupeten region blooms into 12 sub-districts, with 42 (forty-two) villages and 29 (twenty-nine) sub-districts.
